The wahnfood catering offers, our so-called “areas“, are located in the immediate vicinity of the Festspielhaus and allow you as a visitor to indulge in culinary delights quickly and easily during your stay on the Green Hill. It is up to you whether you decide to visit us spontaneously or would prefer to book a table in our festival restaurant “GREEN HILL RESERVATION” in advance.
All information about the areas can be found here on our website and in our gourmet flyer, which is available at all our stands. You can make cashless and contactless payments in all our areas and at our stands using all major credit cards, Apple Pay or EC cards. Please also note the information on the cash desks, where you can also pay with cash.
Most of our areas are covered and weatherproof and can therefore be visited and used in all weathers.

SELF-SERVICE GOURMET BUFFET
Secure a fixed table in our GREEN HILL RESERVATION all-inclusive restaurant. Spend your breaks in a stylish ambience and let us spoil you with culinary delights. In this area we have set up a generous and summery self-service buffet for you – with everything the festival heart desires! All food and drinks in this area are included in the price of 125 euros per person.

Enjoy a variety of culinary specialities in our Green Hill Reservation, which you can enjoy at your reserved table during the 1st and 2nd breaks.
In our self-service buffet you will find

Our dessert buffet also caters for the sweet tooth.
There is a large selection of hot and cold drinks to accompany your meal – with or without alcohol.
We are expanding our reservation area and offering you the opportunity to pre-book your own table with waiter service for both breaks in our new GREEN HILL 1813.
Benefit from the extended service offer and enjoy our delicious menu variations in a great ambience either in the air-conditioned indoor area or, if the weather is fine, on our beautiful GREEN HILL TERRACE. During both breaks you will be served directly at your table or your order will already be delivered to your table when you arrive for your break.
Enjoy your breaks between performances undisturbed and relaxed without having to wait at buffets or other food areas.

The GREEN HILL OPERA BAR is centrally located and the first port of call when you come to the Green Hill. On the right-hand side of the Festspielhaus in front of our GREEN HILL FOOD COURT, right next to our GREEN HILL TERRACE, you will find a wide selection of drinks. Here you will also find all the information about our culinary offerings.
Our GREEN HILL OPERA BAR is also open for you after the performances until midnight.

Our beautifully situated GREEN HILL TERRACE is located in the immediate vicinity of our GREEN HILL RESERVATION and GREEN HILL WHITE 1813 areas. This not only gives visitors to our reservation areas the opportunity to take a seat on it. Festival revellers are also allowed to spend their breaks on our GREEN HILL TERRACE in an area specially equipped with bar tables.
Tables CANNOT be reserved in this area, outside the RESERVATION AREAS.

You will find our GREEN HILL FOOD COURT directly opposite the Festspielhaus on the right-hand side. As a visitor, you can take a seat in the indoor and outdoor areas and enjoy various culinary wahnfood highlights.
We have set up various food stations for you to savour. Whether festival sausage or delicacies from our self-service buffet, a cold beer or a frozen yoghurt for dessert – there is something for everyone!

The vegetarian side of the festival. Our new LohenGrün food corner, directly in the GREEN HILL FOOD COURT, is aimed at all those who want to enjoy light and vegetarian dishes during the interval.
Veggie lovers will find both hot and cold delicacies in our new food corner. Enjoy a fresh bowl and/or other vegan specialities before, between and after the performances.

This year you will find our FESTIVAL GARDEN in a different but equally inviting location, directly opposite the left-hand side of the Festspielhaus. Enjoy your breaks under shady trees and beautiful pagodas in the style of a typical Franconian beer garden.
Franconian specialities and freshly tapped beer characterise this area. Enjoy bratwursts, a snack plate or fresh “Küchla” with a glass of beer or Franconian wine.

Our seafood bar FLYING DUTCHMAN is located in the upper area (1st floor) of our GREEN HILL RESERVATION. For all lovers of fresh fish and seafood, this area is just the right place to spend your breaks.

Via our GREEN HILL OPERA TERRACE you reach the 1st floor of our GREEN HILL RESERVATION where our small GREEN HILL BISTRO & CAFÈ is located. In addition to a variety of coffee specialities, you can also enjoy charming sweets and delicious cakes here.
You can then enjoy your coffee on our GREEN HILL OPERA TERRACE or, of course, directly at one of the cosy tables in the GREEN HILL BISTRO & CAFÈ itself.

In our new wine bar WOTANS WINERY you will find a fine selection of additional wines in addition to our house wines. Our partner wine merchant Scharfenberg has put together a selection of wines in co-operation with the festival sponsor Geldermann. It ranges from special Italian red wines to Spanish specialities and exquisite white wines from Germany. We will also serve you various cheese platters to round off your enjoyment in our wine bar.
Our wine bar is located on the 1st floor of our GREEN HILL RESERVATION in the rear area with direct access to the GREEN HILL OPERA TERRACE.

We have our GREEN HILL PICKNICK BASKET for all those who like to keep to themselves and want to fortify themselves for the next act away from the hustle and bustle.
We will fill your basket with 2 bottles of Bayreuther-Hell or a bottle of Franconian wine and a bottle of water
You will also receive 2 pretzels, a glass of homemade Obatzten and a voucher for 2 festival sausages.

In addition to the basket we provide you with a picnic blanket for 2 people on which you can make yourself comfortable.
Our Festival Garden is closed in bad weather. It is therefore not possible to hand out picnic baskets.
You will receive your picnic basket during both breaks in our FESTIVAL GARDEN (to the left of the Festspielhaus).
Around the Festspielhaus you will once again find our GREEN HILL SEKT BIKES where you can get a glass of sparkling wine outside our areas.
You will recognise our bikes by the parasols and will find them on the left and right in front of the staircases.
Please understand that we can only offer a few drinks on the bikes in addition to sparkling wine.
One of the most important culinary highlights of the Bayreuth Festival and one that attracts the most attention every year is THE FESTSPIEL BRATWURST. This year, too, a lot of thought has been given to the flavour, speciality and that certain something extra of this bratwurst for the Bayreuth Festival 2024.
